Yellow wax beans are a variety of bush-snap beans that appear yellow and waxy but taste almost like green snap beans; a very popular choice for home gardeners. Starting yellow beans indoors is not necessary; you can plant yellow bean seeds directly in your garden. Select a location that has well-drained soil and where the beans will have full sun. Wait to plant the seeds until after the last frost when the soil has reached at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Plant seeds 1 inch deep and 2 to 4 inches apart in rows that are spaced 2 to 3 feet apart. Water the plants daily in the morning to moisten the soil 6 inches deep. This will encourage the plants to grow deeper roots compared to lighter watering! Do not overfeed!
