Fringed tulips got their name from the distinct frayed edge on their petals. This fringe may be the same color as the rest of the petal or it may contrast. The fringe makes the flowers appear full of substance. The frayed edging comes from mutations in tulips of various categories, so the blooming time and heights vary.
THE LISTING PICTURE DOES NOT GAURNTEE THE EXACT COLOR SHADE OF THE TUPLIP BLOOMS. THE SHADES AND COLORS VARY BULB TO BULB.
This is a random mixed batch of bulbs, we cannot guarantee a specific quantity of each color .
You want to plant the bulbs before the first deep frost, which hardens the grounds and makes it much more difficult to dig holes for the bulbs. The bulbs should be planted when the soil is still at least 60 degrees F. Plan to plant the bulbs within a week after buying them. They shouldn't stay above the ground for too long. Don't plant the bulbs too early, or they might come up before the weather gets cold and die as soon as the frosts come. They should lie dormant in the ground all winter and come up in the spring. Space the holes 4 to 6 inches apart, and dig them about 8 inches from the base of the bulb.
**NOTE** These bulbs ship within 2 days of ordering. We do not hold or delay shipments. Our bulbs are new and freshly harvested for each growing season, we do not have bulbs left over from previous seasons. Please research your planting zone for more specific planting instructions for your particular planting zone. We are not responsible for bulb/flower issues due to improper planting methods.
